This truly amazing site, sight and sound occurs when winds blow over the ridges of the sand dunes when they are dry, causing the sand to shift and make a unique type of sound. They are located north-east of Almaty, in the country's largeset national park, Altyn-Emel.

Day 1. Arrival
Meeting and check-in. Rest.
Day 2. Almaty
After breakfast you are invited to take a tour around the Southern Capital. You will find out a lot about the city's ancient past, see its most popular places for entertainment and other sites. The programme includes the Green Market, which is a proper Oriental bazaar. The tourists will visit the city's oldest park and see the cathedral. The tour then leads to the mountain where the world's highest TV tower is situated. It offers a beautiful view of the city. We go down by cableway.
Day 3. Almaty Region
A lake tour to Lake Issyk or Big Almaty Lake begins after breakfast. The latter is one of the most picturesque lakes in the Alatau Mountains. It is a glacial lake with a temperature of no more than +10 degrees on a hot summer day. We go up to an astronomical facility above the lake. The panoramic view is truly breathtaking. We visit a falcon breeding ground on our way back.
The way to Lake Issyk crosses a wonderful gorge where caravans used to pass. The guide will tell you the history of the place and show you ancient Saxon tombs. You will have an opportunity to visit a museum. The route leads us to a mountain lake which is older than 10 000 years.
Dinner in the open air and free time. Overnight stay at a hotel.
Day 4. A free day in Almaty
Free time in Almaty. Visiting shopping centers. Transfer to the railway station to border a train to Astana.
Day 5. Astana
Arrival and check-in at a hotel. A five hours' tour titled the Steppe Flower of Astana. You will see the city's squares and museums, the Congress Hall, take a walk along the embankment, and admire the city from a sightseeing platform.
Day 6. Astana
After breakfast you have a free day in the capital.
Day 7. Departure
After breakfast we check out and go to the airport.
